What do you learn in a weekend class with RD?

What do you learn in a weekend class with RD?

During the first weekend class, an overview and history of feng shui as well as learning the fundamental principles were presented. Simple qigong and meditations are included to enrich the experience of understanding “chi” or energy. More importantly, the students were able to apply feng shui onto an actual project; the teachings were invaluable in learning the theory and then applying these important principles onto a real apartment situation.

Please come to the next weekend class on November 22+23, 2014 where we will continue our feng shui studies which will include the “Chi evaluation” of people, the study of the “Five Elements”, and “Color Theories and Applications”.

Weekend 1 of 6:

  • Introduction + History of Feng Shui
  • Slide presentation of feng shui projects
  • Class exercise – Placing the Ba-Gua on a sample Floor Plan
  • Class exercise – Evaluating the Yin+Yang in a Space
  • Class exercise with presentation by each student for the Feng Shui of a studio apartment
  • Meditation combined with qigong practice
  • Group photo showing our smiling chi after our Qigong practice!
  • Qigong on the roof - "Holding the Tree".
  • Qigong on the roof - "Holding the Tree". We experienced our practice in the morning to welcome the uprising chi energy and in the late afternoon to feel the settling chi energy of the day.
  • Qigong on the roof - "Holding the Tree". We were taking advantage of the beautiful weather and it is good feng shui to combine our chi energies with Mother Nature!
  • Deana presenting her proposal to class.
  • Chris showing his feng shui recommendations for Danielle's apartment.
  • Heather presenting her feng shui proposal to the class.
  • John presenting his feng shui recommendations on his floor plan.
  • A fun discussion about the importance of the Italian tradition of serving pasta!
  • Stefanie presenting her proposal to the class.
  • Alex presenting his proposal to the class.
  • Anthony presenting his proposal for the studio apartment.
  • RD reviewing the proposed floor plans from the class exercise.
  • Since the weather was much colder outside, we did a more "Yin" qigong practice at the "center" of the office. Here we are doing the opening Qigong movement to welcome and harmonize "Heaven, Humanity and Earth".
  • Expelling negative chi with the roar of the Lion!
  • Qigong pose "welcoming unconditional Love" from the Universe.
  • Meditation qigong with Anthony + Brooke following RD's contemplations for this practice.
  • Set-up for the weekend teachings: Original floor plan for the feng shui of Minko Law Office, a powerful lighted cluster of crystals from Brazil, and the screen ready to present visual case studies of feng shui projects, the history and origin, as well as fundamental principles of feng shui.
  • Table setting presenting different Luopan compasses: the large circular wood compass was gotten on one of RD's first feng shui trips to China - it is made of Tiger Bone wood and made by a special lineage of craftsman. There is also a replica of the oldest compass which is a magnetized "spoon" on the embossed metal base "circle in the square" which represents "heaven on earth". The spoon needle symbolizes the "Big Dipper". And the book in the foreground is a lovely document of the Open House for Minko Law Office where RD did a presentation + blessing.
  • Heather taking a break from the class exercise.
  • First class exercise for the student to place the Ba-gua and to determine the Yin+Yang aspects of this sample 1-BR apartment. It is so interesting to see each student's interpretations for this unit.

  • One of the floor plans showing the orange color chi circles of energy of the Ba-Gua, the green color circles of the Yin+ Yang and the suggested placement of the furniture.
  • Students deeply in thought as they work on a feng shui exercise for an apartment. They are to to do 3 things - place the Ba-Gua, evaluate the Yin+Yang of the spaces and determine the placement of the furniture.

  1. It was truly an enlightening and inspiring weekend! Thank you to RD for leading us through thousands of years of teachings in just a couple of days. The first weekend provided an excellent foundation for developing Feng Shui intuition — a foundation which we will continue to build on over the next several classes. I’d encourage anyone to take a chance and attend a class; whether you’d like Feng Shui to be your primary profession, an addition to your existing practice, or even just a hobby, having this knowledge will enrich your life!!

  2. The things you will learn in a weekend class with Master RD Chin are far beyond what you will learn in any other Feng Shui class. The multidimensional levels from which Master Chin approaches Feng Shui are deep and fascinating. His teachings expand and liberate your mind and spirit to see and feel things in ways that a book of 10,000 Feng Shui rules could never provide. Master Chin’s “vertical studio” approach of teaching classes of beginners and professionals together is exciting and fun. We learn so much from each other, no matter what level we are currently at individually. There is a nonjudgmental, true comradery among Master Chin’s students that has developed a strong supportive link between us all. There is no experience like it anywhere, and I encourage you to join us!
